UXD 104- imaging and data visualisation
The master apprentice exercises are for our own development on how to make or recreate a screen or icons to a good extent. this is also a research aspect to the exercises each week for development on our own design capabilities.
this is the first master apprentice as i have recreated an icon set from some screen shots. this was a good first start to the series as this was a quick and easy one to recreate and this can be used for further design projects if needed as a navigation bar. i chose this set as i liked how simple the design is and will most likely be using this type of design into my projects.
the second master apprentice was much harder than the first one sue to how many elements are involved into this one and different types of elements and colours are used throughout this image. this was a jump from the first as this wasn’t as easy to replicate but brought more skills in order to create this i needed more experience on Figma itself which from our own projects i have gained which helped. also this was to help with or first project of a music player app.
the third master apprentice was towards a more analytical point as ror our dashboards this was a good way to demonstrate some data using a pie chart type with rings. this was another level of skill was needed to create this one as the week progressed i feel my skills have got better from the first set of icons to this. also this had some more elements like gradients and different type thta was linked into it.
the final master apprentice was to recreate a full screen this was to help with final touches in the dashboard project that we will be creating again this was another level of detail that i needed from the icons and elements in this there was a lot of detail in this screen but again this has increased my skills. the icon set at the bottom of the screen was the hardest of all the screen sue to a lot of detail being in these little icons and trying to replicate this perfectly was very hard.
these master apprentices have been very good for my own skills and Figma use. i personally can see the difference from the first week to the last week in my Figma practice from these exercises and this has helped me in order of creating icons and navigation systems for my own projects especially my music player. also the reflection of these master apprentices is that this was a good way to keep up with designing whether or not recreating this got me to analyse a screen and choose what and how i recreate a element.
