IXD104 imaging and data visualisation
this week we focused in more depth on how icons are used throughout design and what design concept fits with what designs for example a fun type design would want a different type of icon to fit in with the design concept of fun.
zooming in to icons can be a good way into making enough detail into a smaller design space such as a icon if there is much detail this would be blown up a bit more to show how much detail is shown throughout the icon. below is a image showing the detail of some icons that have worked well for example the analytics icon is very detailed and yet can be shown easily.

iconic abstractions
the use of abstraction in icons is very prominent within the icons design for example the image below is a stripped down version of the like, settings and profile icon with this is very popular for minimal design work and is very popular now compared to the earlier stages in icon work.

icon sets
week 2 development on icon sets.
icons are language agnostic
Agnostic language icons are visual icons that are universal recognition from everyone and can be understood by many with just images no text. this can be the use of flags, toilet directions, disabled badge ect. the image below is a example of language agnostic icons.
