This week we looked into how typography is formed and how this has affected history to now. Font forms and typeface form were the forefront this week due to understanding where these came from and how this will be in the future of type. My understanding if this week was on how type reacts to design elements and how this can be used in my own work.
The difference between type face and font is that a typeface is the overall design or a family of letters meanwhile a font is a specific file or variation of the chosen typefaces.

Willi kunz is an artists from 1950s/60s which he specialised in how typography is placed in posters and other artworks. He was the most influential artists to create his own typography work and has influenced many throughout the 20th and 21st century.

Typography has changed significantly throughout the technological age due to the amount of advances technology has made for example the jump from printing to type on the computer is drastic for the quality of the type. This can be said for the economical factors as well for type.
Wolfgang Wienhard was a German designer who specialised in type for exmpale he used playful type with punctuation as a fore front for his designs

He used a symmetry and balance within his work this then based through a grid system and a design layout. He was then hired for penguin books as he was the main designer for how the books were Layered out.
