Mccandles is a British data- journalist who specialists in the use of data and how we as the user understand data through visual ideas. the video that we have been shown is a video of how data can be shown through different ways such as charts or pictograms and many more visual ways.

• the billion dollar o-gram- goes into detail on what debt and money summary the USA makes and spends throughout a years.
• mountains out of molehills- graphs for fears over time in the media
• data visualisation on history and how this effects the media.
• data is the new oil - data is the new soil
• using images to display data and figures for example using military soldiers as how mnay soldiers each country has and highlighting using red on the most soldiers.
• balloon diagrams can take a long time. knowledge compression squeezing so much data into a visual being.
• designers cant be biased such as the political aspect of design.

dashboard review workshop

this workshop was a helpful exercise as i got some feedback on my early designs and what i need to do now for our review on the project itself. the most feedback i have got was to add more data and figure what type of data i will be adding into my project as this is a weather project this will be easier to find the data.
